Introduction to CLAM Bake

This development environment provides access to:

Editor — A place to enter Python programs.
Console — A place to view the output of programs.
Canvas — A place where graphics can be drawn.
Library — A place where multiple programs can be save or loaded.

Credits and Thanks

The core of CLAM Bake is Skulpt, the Python to Javascript translator developed by Scott Graham.

The editor, CodeMirror, was developed by Marijn Haverbeke.

Python itself is a robust high-level programming language created by its Benevolent Dictator for Life, Guido van Rossum.

アメリカの気象台は、エアコン装置の排気扇の隣、アスファルトで作ってある駐車場のど真ん中、ひどく暑い屋上、熱を放射する歩道や建物などの場所に置かれている。８９％の気象台はNational Weather Service(国立気象課)が定める気象台の水準（人工的熱源から３０m離す）を満たしていない(Watts 2009)。

多くの研究では、ヒートアイランド現象やマイクロサイトからの影響は取るに足らない。

気温データの向上は誰も賛成できる目標です。Anthony WattsやSteve McIntyreの努力は賞賛に値します。しかし、温度記録に欠陥があるから温暖化の傾向が誇張されている、というあらかじめの仮定には誤りがあります。

ヒートアイランド現象の補正

温度記録をまとめてる際、NASAGISSはヒートアイランド現象から来る影響を最小限に抑えるために粉骨砕身します。都市部のデータと地方のデータを比較し、補正します。このプロセスはNASAのサイトに記述されてます(Hansen 2001)。

ほとんどのケースでは、都市気候の影響は小さく、信頼範囲内です。意外にも、４２％の都市気候は地方と比べて涼しかったのです（気象台が町中の公園に設置されてあったり）。大事なのは、NASA科学者はヒートアイランド現象は承知してあり、分析にバイアスが生じないように厳重に補正しています。ヒートアイランドについて...

Steve McIntyreのGISSデータにミスある事を発見したのはみごとな達成です。NASAにとってこのミスは恥でしょう。しかしこのミスはどんな意義があったのでしょうか。

近年の気温上昇はいろんな方向から立証されてる

地球表面温度の傾向は複数の独立した研究から成り立ってます。

NASA GISSの表面温度分析は他の独立した分析（CRU Global Temperature RecordとNCDC）と強い相関関係を持つ。
気象観測用の風船によれば、１９７５～２００５年の地球平均温度は１０年単位で0.23°C上昇している。
氷コアからの復元は２０世紀温度が過去５００年で最大値に達しているという結果は他のプラクシーを使った復元でも立証されてる。
海面温度, Bo試錐孔re holeからの復元 and 海洋温度、全て長期的温暖化を示している。
